Admission Process for Students


The admissions process begins with a minimum requirement of a completed application form, transcripts of educational experience and high school diploma and /or equivalent. To be allowed to write the admissions test and schedule a interview an applicant must provide the following documents:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
  • English, Grade 12 (ENG4C or equivalent with a grade of 60% or higher). If English is the second language for the applicant, TOEFL score or equivalent must be provided.
  • Mathematics, Grade 11 with a minimum of 60% or higher
  • Biology, Grade 11 (SBI3C or equivalent with a grade of 60% or higher).
  • Chemistry and/or Physics Grade 11 (SCH4C or equivalent with a grade of 60% or higher).

The Admissions Committee reviews applications and grants entrance examination privileges and a interview to applicants who have satisfied all minimum requirements. A application fee of $150 ($450 for international students) applies.

Admission Test and Interview

  • Admission tests scores (covering English, Math, Chemistry, and Biology)
  • Interview

The final decisions regarding applicant selection for program entry will be made by the Admissions Committee.


Selection Criteria

Admissions decisions are based on the following:

  • Academic Performance in Secondary School and/or University/Community College
  • Results of the admission test
  • Applicant Interview
  • Other documentation submitted by the applicant which they believe will strengthen their application
  • Other factors deemed relevant by the Admissions Committee

Accepted applicants must:

  • complete a Health Assessment Form ( Dental, Medical) and provide a record of immunization prior to program entry. Immunization for Hepatitis B is required.
  • obtain a certificate in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Basic Rescuer “C” Level and a certificate in St. John Ambulance First Aid (minimum 13 hour course) prior to the commencement of clinical studies.
